The path to connection, to wholeness, to health, to healing. However you choose to apply this knowledge, wherever this path may lead you, it puts together a piece to the whole. Whether a yoga teacher, a school teachers, a counselor, therapist, parent, or simply looking for a path back to yourself, Upaya is the path to gaining knowledge of the breath, the body, the mind, emotions, purpose, and into the questions of Who am I? and What am I doing here? You will learn not only how to creatively and effectively teach yoga, but also mindfulness, breathing techniques, Ayurveda, deep psychology, energetics, somatics and other tools that sets you apart in however you choose to express this knowledge.

 

Before you Begin…

Thank you for your interest in pursuing your Teacher Certification with Rise Studios in Ashland! We are committed to giving you a quality teacher training experience. We look forward to walking through this journey with you! Here is what we will expect of you…

Commitment: All weekends require 100% commitment from you. If for some reason you have an approved absence, time must be made up using an appropriate replacement determined by Rise lead teacher.

Who can participate: Required before application is, at the minimum, 1 year of studio practice at any studio. This training gives you the tools to dive deeper into your practice and learn how to lead yoga classes as a certified 200 RYT Yoga teacher.

What you can expect: During our weeks together you can expect to experience yoga asana practice, meditation, journaling, discussion and self discovery. There will also be reading and online homework to be completed during the week. There will be requirements outside of in-studio training time that will be spent practice teaching, expanding your personal practice and giving back to the community.

Our application process is the first step in assuring this is the training for you as well as you being a good fit for us. It will help you begin to think and feel and respond in the way you will during your training and will help us know a little bit about you and the context of who you are. Disclaimer, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Graduation Requirements

I understand that: tuition must be paid in full or committed to the payment plan two weeks prior to the start of training; refunds will be made up to two weeks prior to the start of training, minus processing fee of $300; there are no refunds for books or supplies received by the student.

I understand that: to graduate, a student must complete all requirements, including class participation, hands-on practice, written and oral assignments, and community service; 100% attendance is required, but if it is necessary to miss a class, extra credit opportunities are available; it is the student's responsibility to avail him/herself of these opportunities; students are expected to arrive on time and stay until the conclusion of class; cancellation of classes due to weather may occur, in which case additional hours will be added toward the end of the program; to graduate, all financial commitments must be met.
